Greetings Foodies…

The Hot August Winds….have finally blown in and hopefully winter has blown out!

A week ago I was almost convinced that Joburg had been hit by SNOW – did you see how our vehicles and roads were covered with what the weather buffs refers to as SLEET?

Looked like hail and SNOW to me and many other future foodies!

Moving from nature’s physical hazards to our WARM August Issue: PHYSICAL HAZARDS & Food Safety. Thanks to our advertising and technical experts, the use of light covers, metal detectors, x-ray machines, magnets, screens/sifters, aspirators, riffle boards and bone separators can make these hazards a thing of the past – no more maintenance tools in your mixers!

27 July 2011:

SANS 10049:2011 Workshop

“Entecom, in association with The Food Safety Network, presented a one-day workshop highlighting the changes in the newly revised SANS 10049 standard. The workshop was presented by Linda Jackson. The workshop was well attended with just under 50 keen delegates.  Unfortunately, the Eastern Cape had experienced some terrible weather that week and some of our out of town delegates could not make it. We are sorry they missed it. Linda’s passionate facilitation style and her extensive knowledge and experience benefited all of those who attended. Many of our delegates left fired up to make some serious changes within their organizations. Way to go Food Safety Gladiators!! The Feedback received has been great and we look forward to seeing all of the delegates again our next public workshop – watch this space!” SARAH EDWARDS, Entecom (Tel: 041 366 1970, email: This email address is being protected from spambots.
